Actress and dancer Kelechi Okafor has built a large online following talking about issues affecting black British women. But recently, she has been under attack on social media for having a white fiance - which some have accused her of hiding. A while ago I thought, why does it seem that most prominent black female activists seem to be dating white men? Then I had a moment of introspection where I thought, hang on, I'm one of those women. I speak up about racism and sexism affecting black women.
It is our goal to dispel the notion that Black women's near unanimous Democratic vote choice somehow represents a kind of groupthink and explain the very rational reasons why Black women are such a cohesive voting bloc.
It looks at voter turnout and vote choice and looks at the ways that Black women differ from Black men and white women over the course of the last generation. Finally, we also want to challenge the notion that Black women are the saviors of American democracy See St. Felix To that end, this paper first explores the uniqueness of Black women's political behavior. With each volume we will encourage t authorship by academics from various disciplines so that not only is the theme of the article presented, but it will be discussed in a Du Bosian interdisciplinary fashion taking into historical, political and socio-economic interpretations.

Of major importance, we want to take seriously the notion that Black women, as a result of their lived experience, bring a unique perspective to the ballot box, to legislatures, and to other political offices.
